Vera Bradley Returns to Growth with Transformational Vision

Vera Bradley, the lifestyle brand known for its luggage, handbags, and accessories, set out in 2018 to transform its business and return to growth by becoming more customer-centric. To do that, it needed a better way to unify customer data spread across hundreds of IT jobs and reports so marketers could self-serve insights, identify the behaviors that drive lifetime value, and optimize marketing spend. Vera Bradley turned to Uniphore’s customer data platform capabilities, implemented through its CDP approach, to support this shift.

Using Uniphore, Vera Bradley unified behavioral and transactional data in a single platform, applied machine learning to model high-LTV audiences, and orchestrated experiences across channels. The results included a lift in funnel conversion and value, year-over-year conversion improvement that supported a double-digit increase in customer count, an 8% lift in CSAT in a single quarter, and a pilot store that moved from the chain’s poorest performer to one of its best.
