Samsung UK ran a nationwide Twitter treasure hunt to launch the Galaxy S7 (#GalaxyS7isHere), aiming to create real-time, city-by-city excitement and drive broad public participation by adding a live, mobile-first element to the promotion.
They used Periscope to livestream the hunts, Retweet to Remind to mobilize interested users, and a Promoted Trend to maintain buzz as the hunt moved between cities. The activation generated thousands of interactions (key metrics: 8.1K, 2.6K, 2.5K), produced seven winners, expanded reach with creative formats, and—per Samsung—allowed the brand to livestream dynamically rather than from static locations.
