Case Study: British Gas improves leadership of top talent with Talogy

A Talogy Case Study

Preview of the British Gas Case Study

Improving leadership of top talent through EI

British Gas, a large and diverse business, needed to strengthen succession into “leader of leader” roles by improving the emotional intelligence and leadership capability of its high-potential talent. Talogy was engaged to help address the challenge of moving managers beyond task-focused leadership and into more people-centric leadership across teams of up to 300 employees.

Talogy implemented a “Leading through Emotional Intelligence” program, featuring a three-day module and follow-through EI coaching support from British Gas, supported by Talogy diagnostics such as the Emotional Intelligence Profile and Centrica Behaviors 360. The result was a noticeable shift toward people-centric leadership, with leaders better able to build trust, self-awareness, resilience, and coaching skills; British Gas also reported significantly more team check-ins and stronger leader engagement, indicating a measurable step change in leadership behavior.
