Snowflake, a San Mateo–based cloud data platform, faced growing friction working with external partners, vendors and prospective customers: limited guest access to its Slack workspace created an IT bottleneck, excessive email back-and-forth, and inconsistent access to IT support and knowledge resources as the company scaled.
Snowflake moved to Slack Connect shared channels, built a custom Slack bot integrated with ServiceNow/Okta and used Workflow Builder for instant feedback, enabling real‑time partner collaboration, white‑glove sales support and easier IT ticketing. The changes strengthened vendor relationships, broadened internal use of partner tools, sped up the sales cycle (one AE reported a threefold increase in deal size year over year), reduced email, and increased companywide adoption of collaborative workflows.
