Twilio, the San Francisco–based cloud communications company that lets developers add voice, SMS and IP telephony to apps, was committed to creating great experiences for employees, customers and candidates. They wanted a more systematic, data-driven approach to feedback because existing tools like SurveyMonkey couldn’t produce the branded, visually engaging surveys they needed.

Twilio implemented Qualtrics Research Suite to run engaging employee surveys, capture real-time feedback from about 1,000 interview candidates, collect 90-day new-hire input and automate biannual performance reviews. The platform gave executives real-time insights, increased research volume tenfold, standardized research on a single enterprise tool, achieved a 90% employee survey response rate and led to policy changes such as unlimited time off.
