Netcracker's Online Charging System Selected by Videotron to Support Real-Time Operations

Netcracker, an NEC company, has been chosen by Videotron — a major Quebec-based cable, internet, telephone and wireless provider — to address the need for real-time, scalable charging as it diversifies services and moves toward IMS. Videotron required a high-availability, high-performance solution to support expanding wireless and future product offerings while meeting evolving customer expectations.

Netcracker delivered its real-time Online Charging System (OCS) to complement Videotron’s existing OSS/BSS, providing the scalability and performance needed for real-time charging across lines of business. The deployment enables Videotron to support IMS initiatives, offer more personalized products, and scale operations reliably, while expanding the vendors’ BSS partnership.
