Skyscanner, founded in 2003, is a leading global travel search site used by over 50 million people monthly and available in 30+ languages. Facing the twin challenges of growing site traffic while meeting spend and ROI targets and expanding into new markets with localized approaches, Skyscanner partnered with Kenshoo in 2011 to automate, optimize and scale search advertising—and to stay first-to-market with new innovations.
Through a six-year partnership Kenshoo delivered Portfolio Optimiser, a bespoke Yandex bidding algorithm and Campaign Mirroring to replicate Google campaigns onto Bing, driving efficiency and scale. The results: on Yandex advertising spend rose 14% while revenue grew 23% YoY, and the Bing pilot in the UK produced a 131% increase in clicks, 58% increase in revenue and a 25% drop in cost per click.
