Rakuten, France’s third-largest marketplace with about 11 million monthly visitors and a high share of repeat buyers (70%), wanted to boost conversions on product information pages by helping customers access Club R loyalty prices. The team suspected visitors were clicking the Club R price mention but had no easy way to learn about the discount or join, risking drop-offs and lost sales.
Using behavioral analysis, Rakuten added a direct link from product pages to the Club R information page. Visits to that page rose 242% and the site’s conversion rate improved by 0.9%, producing a meaningful revenue increase given Rakuten’s large product volume.
