Case Study: Rakuten (PriceMinister) boosts newsletter subscriptions by 15% with Kameleoon

A Kameleoon Case Study

Priceminister Pretargeting

PriceMinister, France's third-largest e-commerce site and the leader in peer-to-peer buy-and-sell transactions, wanted to boost its visibility in the second-hand market. Customer research showed strong awareness for new products but weaker recognition for used items, so the primary goal was to increase newsletter subscriptions from users interested in used goods (with secondary KPIs of pages viewed and time on site).

Using pretargeting to identify visitors who had previously browsed sites for buying and selling used products, PriceMinister deployed a predefined “Your new and used products” banner on landing pages via a ready template—implemented in three days. The campaign exposed 400,000 visitors (8% exposition) and drove a 15% rise in newsletter sign-ups, a key engagement metric closely linked to future purchases.
