Vodafone Germany, a major telecommunications company, sought to consolidate its digital messaging services across platforms like WhatsApp, Apple Business Chat, and SMS to improve customer experience. To address this challenge, they partnered with the vendor Genesys to implement an AI-based solution using the Genesys platform.
The solution implemented by Genesys involved the creation of a central messaging team and the deployment of an intelligent chatbot named TOBi. This Genesys-integrated chatbot fields all messaging conversations, understanding over 230 customer intents. As a result, the first-contact success rate increased from 16% to 44%, automating nearly half of all inquiries and freeing agents for other tasks while positioning Vodafone for future digital growth.
