A Facebook Case Study
Samsung Romania used Facebook and Instagram to launch the Galaxy S7 in early 2016, facing the challenge of quickly building mass awareness, growing share in the premium smartphone segment, and demonstrating new features to drive purchase intent in the local market.
Samsung ran videos, Canvas and Carousel ads across Instagram and Facebook, amplified TV and in‑store activity, and used Custom Audiences, lookalikes and retargeting (including Reach & Frequency with a Brand Awareness objective) to drive pre‑orders. The four‑week campaign reached 80% of the 18–45 target audience (avg. frequency 3.4), delivered a 5‑point lift in ad recall and a 4‑point lift in favourability, with sales up 10% year‑over‑year and pre‑orders 4× those of the predecessor.
