T-Mobile Germany Chooses Empirix to Ensure Customer Communication

T‑Mobile Germany, serving over 33 million users, needed to guarantee flawless customer communication through complex voice‑driven services (IVR and voicemail) while getting new services to market quickly and cost‑effectively. Manual testing—once done by student teams and taking weeks with repeated regression cycles—couldn’t keep up with rising complexity and availability requirements for mission‑critical contact systems.

T‑Mobile implemented Empirix’s Hammer Test Solution (CallMaster and Hammer FX) to automate functional, load and lifecycle monitoring of its voice applications. The automated tests cut integration time and costs, reduced the testing team from four people to one, and allowed about 95% of mailbox testing (30–35% of overall tests) to be automated, improving release speed and ensuring ongoing service availability.
