Case Study: JetBlue achieves better pilot hiring and retention with Development Dimensions International

A Development Dimensions International Case Study

Preview of the JetBlue Case Study

JetBlue Airways - Customer Case Study

JetBlue, the low-fare airline known for its customer-service-focused “JetBlue Experience,” needed a better way to hire pilots and other employees who fit its culture, not just the job requirements. To support that goal, JetBlue turned to Development Dimensions International and its Targeted Selection® behavior-based interviewing system.

Development Dimensions International helped JetBlue build a structured hiring process using online prescreening, trained interviewer panels, and behavior-based interviews. The result was stronger hiring decisions and better retention: overall turnover dropped to about half the 20% industry average, pilot turnover fell to just 2–3%, and 78% of prescreened pilot candidates advanced to the background-check stage versus about 25% before the process was implemented.
