United Utilities Wins by Automating its Reporting

United Utilities, which supplies 200 million liters of water a day to over three million homes and businesses, faced a heavy reporting burden: a team of eight produced rolling reports up to four times daily, consuming about 720 minutes of manual effort. To modernize and increase agility, United Utilities partnered with SS&C Blue Prism and deployed Blue Prism’s intelligent digital workforce.

SS&C Blue Prism’s automation reduced report generation from roughly 720 minutes to about 30 minutes, allowed United Utilities to increase updates from four to nine per day during the dry summer without hiring extra staff, and supported automation of an additional 30 processes (with five more in the pipeline), freeing people from repetitive tasks and keeping operational information up to date.
