LEAP Legal Software, founded in Sydney in 1992, is the world’s largest provider of legal practice management software and was expanding from Australia into the UK and US. The company’s internally developed, server‑based billing system couldn’t meet its needs for a cloud‑based, subscription‑friendly platform with self‑service, new payment capture, transaction scaling and a single global customer view.

LEAP selected Zuora’s SaaS billing platform starting in the UK and then rolled it out across Australia and the US. Zuora enabled seamless migrations—even a complex joint venture involving 130,000 users and multi‑state tax rules—letting LEAP retire its legacy system, centralize subscription billing, and deliver cloud access and integrations. Today LEAP runs billing for tens of thousands of users (about 20,000 in Australia, 15,000 in the UK and 3,000 in the US) with smoother operations and well‑trained staff.
