Jimdo, a German cloud-based website builder, was preparing to expand internationally but its legacy retail billing system couldn't handle multiple product lines, self-service upgrades, or numerous currencies. By adopting Zuora’s Subscription Commerce Platform, Jimdo launched subscription services in 11 new markets across four continents, billed in 20 local currencies, and accepted payments through 80+ portals while offering a simple self-service interface. The solution streamlined billing, enabled regional pricing and packaging, and supported rapid growth—Jimdo grew from 3.5 million sites to over 12 million by 2014.
