Cambium Networks, a global provider of wireless connectivity operating in 180 countries, wanted to turn its hardware and network management expertise into recurring revenue through a subscription model, especially for new CBRS-based services. Moving from traditional distributor-led hardware sales to usage-based subscriptions required new billing and invoicing capabilities, and Cambium turned to Zuora for help.

Zuora provided the subscription platform, billing, and invoicing support needed to launch cnMaestro and Domain Proxy, enabling usage-based billing, customer payments by credit card or ACH, and integration with Cambium’s payment processor. Since launching in April 2020, the Zuora-powered offering has created a substantial new revenue stream and also increased hardware sales, while Zuora later supported a second subscription application for XMS and the company’s broader recurring revenue strategy.
