ONTEC uses CR-8000 to develop a next-generation product in less time despite rigorous design constraints

ONTEC, a long-established electronics manufacturer, needed to develop the Multi File Player KAMELEON (MFP-330), a high-density multimedia broadcasting product, while meeting a customer’s stringent electromagnetic interference (EMI) requirements on a compressed schedule. To do this, ONTEC adopted Zuken’s CR-8000 (used together with Keysight ADS) to drive a “right the first time” design process that integrated simulation early and continuously through schematic, layout, and prototype stages.

Using Zuken’s CR-8000 integrated with Keysight ADS, ONTEC ran rapid pre-layout power/signal integrity checks, followed by detailed post-layout analyses and prototype validation, iterating via/clearance structures and component placement as needed. The Zuken-enabled workflow cut analysis time by 86%, provided progressively accurate power-integrity prediction, ensured EMI/compliance, reduced the number of physical re-spins, and delivered the complex design on a tight schedule.
