A Zuken Case Study
Kässbohrer Transport Technik, an Austrian manufacturer of customized vehicle transporters, faced rising complexity and capacity limits in producing electrical schematics, harnesses and BOMs for hundreds of highly individualized vehicle configurations. Their previous process used disconnected 2D MCAD drawings and spreadsheets, which was slow, error-prone and strained delivery deadlines. To address this, they selected Zuken’s ECAD solution E³.series.
Zuken implemented E³.series with a central component library, modular master projects and built‑in electrical intelligence so schematics, cable plans and BOMs are generated from a single source. The result: Kässbohrer now produces error‑free documentation at much higher speed and reliability, cutting electrical documentation turnaround for special vehicle variants by 60–90%, enabling batch sizes of one to five while delivering comprehensive CE‑compliant documentation.
