Data conversion as a foundation for a future-oriented development process in electrical and pneumatic control technology

Windmöller & Hölscher, a German machinery company and world market leader for flexible packaging systems, needed to migrate more than 30 years of legacy electrical and pneumatic control data into Zuken’s E3.series environment. Their challenge was to preserve and keep accessible over 18,000 project records and more than 1 million schematic pages, along with associated lists and multilingual data, for continued engineering, service, and upgrade work.

Zuken provided data migration services to automatically convert the legacy data into E3.series and DS-E3 using a highly configurable migration platform with integrated quality control. The conversion was run in a 24-hour batch process with up to 10 parallel processes, successfully transferring 18,000 datasets and about 1 million schematic sheets while maintaining data quality and enabling seamless further processing in the target system.
