Bruker raises documentation quality and design flow efficiency for precision instrumentation by implementing a modular, scalable CAD system

Bruker AXS GmbH (Bruker), a maker of precision X‑ray analysis systems, needed higher‑quality wiring documentation and greater design efficiency than its ad‑hoc PCB/MCAD drawing approach could provide. To address complex, multi‑level electrical and harness designs and support multi‑user, multi‑language workflows, Bruker selected Zuken and rolled out the E³.series CAD system across concept, production and service.

Zuken implemented E³.series (including E³.cable Professional and E³.panel Basic) on roughly 15 workstations, providing linked abstraction layers, integrated MCAD and automated outputs to manufacturing. As a result Bruker reports a noticeable increase in productivity—time to develop the first sample has been slashed—automated production of manufacturing drawings for individual cables, improved wiring and manufacturing drawing quality, fewer development iterations and easier defect analysis.
