BCA Leisure stays responsive and competitive using E3.series to design and manufacture cable harnesses for caravans and motorhomes

BCA Leisure, part of the BCA Group, designs and manufactures mixed-power cable harnesses for UK caravan and motorhome OEMs and produces over 100 prototype harnesses each year. Facing highly seasonal demand, long lead-times for key components, material shortages and currency volatility, the company struggled with isolated electrical CAD, manual data re-entry, poor BOM visibility and repeat faults caused by lack of version control. To address these challenges BCA Leisure selected Zuken’s E3.series (including E3.cable) to modernize its electrical design process.

Zuken implemented E3.series tightly integrated with BCA Leisure’s ERP (with support from High Peak Systems), delivering synchronized schematics, BOMs and production drawings. The result: design tasks that once took days now take minutes, risk of errors is minimized, strict version control prevents repeat faults, and planning for long lead-time components is greatly improved. Zuken’s solution also feeds E3.cable data through to delivery notes for full traceability, helping BCA Leisure save time and cost and remain competitive despite exchange-rate and material-cost pressures.
