ARM Automation achieves two-thirds electrical design time reduction using intelligent schematics

ARM Automation, a custom automation systems integrator serving industries from automotive to medical devices, faced growing complexity in its electrical designs—often spanning hundreds of drawing sheets—while using a drawing‑based tool that produced non‑intelligent schematics. This manual approach made tracking connections, updating multi‑sheet changes and error checking slow and error‑prone, so ARM turned to Zuken’s E³.series to modernize its electrical design process.

Zuken implemented E³.series’ database‑driven intelligent schematics and component libraries to automate connectivity tracking, panel layout checks, parts reporting and signal tracing, and provided a viewer for assembly and field debugging. The result: overall design time fell by 66% (two‑thirds), manual error‑prone tasks were eliminated, debugging became far easier, and ARM gained the efficiency and confidence to bid on more complex projects—improving ROI and design quality.
