How Serpentine Galleries in London manages gallery capacity with zkipster

Serpentine Galleries in London used Zkipster to manage VIP and press guests while meeting local social distancing and safety rules. For the opening of its Jennifer Packer show in December 2020, the events team wanted to create a relaxed preview experience, divide attendance into 30-minute slots, and notify key staff when high-profile guests arrived.

Zkipster’s Sessions tool was used to create a 10am to 4pm event with 12 sessions of 30 minutes each, with eight attendees per session and automatic closure once a session filled. The setup helped Serpentine control capacity, keep guests and staff feeling safer and more relaxed, and support post-event reporting by session. Serpentine also planned to use Zkipster’s Facesheet feature for future in-person events.
