Zetron’s MAX Dispatch Equips 2 PSAPs for ‘Continuity of Operations’

Skagit 911, the public-safety answering point serving Skagit County, needed a reliable way to maintain continuity of operations, improve interoperability, and support remote dispatching with neighboring I-COM 9-1-1 after their legacy systems reached end of life. To meet those requirements and stay within budget, Skagit 911 selected Zetron’s MAX Dispatch solution (deployed via reseller Silke Communications) to provide an IP-based, easy-to-use platform that would support mutual backup between the two PSAPs.

Zetron delivered MAX Dispatch staged and configured with remote access and a plug-and-play cutover, enabling features like officer emergency alerts, quick audio replay, and the ability for either center to operate the other’s radio frequencies. The Zetron deployment produced IP-based flexibility, clearer audio, rapid dispatcher adoption, and a demonstrated five-year cost-of-ownership advantage — with both agencies now able to back each other up “at the click of a mouse” and operate seamlessly since the systems went live.
