A Zetron Case Study
The Town of Scituate faced aging, separate police and fire dispatch facilities, inadequate workspaces, and no IP fire station alerting (IP FSA) capability while building a new consolidated public safety complex on a tight budget. Having already installed a Zetron MAX Dispatch console three years earlier, the town needed an affordable, IP-based alerting and dispatch solution (including IP FSA functionality) to modernize operations and secure personnel records.
AllComm Technologies expanded the existing Zetron MAX Dispatch system to provide IP-based fire station alerting and replicated the Zetron IP FSA Model 6203 tones, deploying four MAX Dispatch consoles controlling 20 channels and supporting three fire stations in the new 28,000 sq. ft. complex. Zetron’s MAX Dispatch features—including fixed station recovery pair redundancy and single‑button access to backup channels—improved reliability and allowed dispatchers to run multiple incidents per day, leaving the Town of Scituate better prepared for severe weather and reduced risk of downtime.
