PSAP's Two-Site Zetron Solution Doubles Redundancy

Monroe County, Pennsylvania — a Pocono Mountains community of roughly 170,000 whose population more than doubles during two annual NASCAR weekends — needed a modern, reliable PSAP platform to serve residents and large surges of visitors. As the county’s sole 9‑1‑1 center, serving 21 volunteer fire departments, 10 EMS agencies and multiple police agencies, Monroe County selected Zetron and its AcomEVO dispatch solution to replace aging equipment and improve scalability and redundancy.

Zetron installed two AcomEVO systems (18 console positions in the main center and 10 in the overflow/backup), enabling Monroe County to run 28 positions simultaneously and effectively double redundancy so the backup site can take over or supplement operations. The AcomEVO deployment — installed and supported by reseller TuWay Communications — delivered dynamic drag‑and‑drop screen groupings, faster dispatcher onboarding and measurable capacity gains on race weekends, allowing the PSAP to handle event surges without service interruption.
