Morgan County E-911: Building An Integrated System for Efficiency, Reliability and Accuracy

Morgan County E-911 (Morgan County) in eastern Tennessee provides 24/7 emergency dispatch across more than 500 square miles and 21,000+ residents. While the center had already moved away from paper and installed Zetron’s MAX GIS Mapping, MAX CAD and MAX Call Taking between 2005–2013, it still relied on an end-of-life button-base dispatch system that needed replacement to meet modern NG9‑1‑1 demands.

In 2021 Morgan County partnered with Zetron to deploy MAX Dispatch and update MAX Call Taking for next‑generation and text‑to‑9‑1‑1 capabilities, creating a fully integrated Zetron MAX platform. The upgrade delivered seamless integration, faster and more accurate resource deployment across the center’s 200–350 daily calls, improved dispatcher efficiency and reduced stress, and futureproofed the agency with reliable, interoperable NG9‑1‑1 functionality.
