MAX Dispatch Opens the Door to Broadband PTT

The Boxborough Police Department in Boxborough, MA, needed to replace a 15-year-old dispatch system with a solution that provided interoperability across agencies, 24/7 redundancy, system health monitoring, ease of use and maintenance, and a path to migrate to a Tait P25 network and broadband PTT. They selected Zetron’s MAX Dispatch (installed with help from reseller All-Comm Technologies) to meet those requirements.

Zetron implemented MAX Dispatch with a staged, dispatcher-informed configuration and parallel installation, delivering dual-network redundancy, three redundant connections to the Tait system (P25 DFSI, Tait analog, and RF control), remote laptop capability, console control/alerts for doors, and a one-button simultaneous paging feature that shaved precious minutes from responses. The Zetron system provided reliable 24/7 operation, seamless analog-to-P25 migration, intuitive use (dispatchers required no formal training), and added support for broadband PTT via the P25 CSSI.
