A Zetron Case Study
The London-Laurel County 9-1-1 Center in Laurel County, Kentucky — a PSAP that handles up to 45,000 calls per year — needed a modern, IP-based dispatch system that delivered high interoperability, support for a mobile command center, reliable 24/7 local support, and an installation that would not disrupt operations during a facility remodel. They chose Zetron’s MAX Dispatch system, with local implementation by London Radio Service, to meet those requirements.
Zetron delivered the MAX Dispatch solution (racked, staged and cut over during live operations), providing IP-enabled interoperability across P25 and NEXEDGE systems, mobile dispatch capability, ergonomic console furniture, and remote-access support; the system went live in March 2015. As a result, the London-Laurel County 9-1-1 Center can link disparate radio networks countywide, operate command-post dispatch over IP, receive 24/7 technical assistance and remote diagnostics from Zetron, and completed the upgrade with no interruption to daily service.
