MAX Dispatch Controls Vital Operations at University of North Dakota

The University of North Dakota faced the limitations of a mid-1980s dispatch system while managing safety, security, transportation and facilities across a large campus (over 15,000 students, 234 buildings, 585 acres). Seeking modern, IP‑based features and the flexibility to decentralize consoles, UND selected Zetron’s MAX Dispatch to replace the legacy system.

Zetron’s MAX Dispatch (installed in June 2013, via reseller Stan’s Communications) was deployed with two console positions and the capability to add six more (five remote campus positions and one mobile emergency position). The IP‑based solution delivered quick, parallel installation with minimal training, integrated door controls, recording/playback for incident review, and improved coordination across four business units—enhancing campus safety and enabling rapid, remote command-and-control.
