MAX Dispatch and Call-Taking Strengthen Link Between a PSAP and Its Community

The City of Chowchilla Police Department sought to replace aging Zetron dispatch and 9-1-1 call‑taking systems that were reaching capacity and risking overload during countywide call handling. Under administrative supervisor Casadi Denny the agency chose Zetron’s next‑generation MAX Dispatch and MAX Call‑Taking solutions (with Eventide IP logging recorders) to retain the reliability they trusted while gaining modern functionality.

Zetron, working with reseller/installer Delta Wireless, deployed three MAX Call‑Taking positions, two MAX Dispatch positions and Eventide recorders, staged the systems, trained staff, and provided ongoing 24/7 support. The upgrade (went live September 2015) delivered rock‑solid reliability, streamlined operations, searchable recordings for court and training, and the capacity to handle overflow calls for the county without stressing the PSAP — measurable gains in system capacity, usability, and response assurance from Zetron.
