MAX Call-Taking Connects Tennessee PSAP to NetTN i3 Network

Claiborne County, Tennessee, the consolidated 9‑1‑1 center serving about 32,000 residents, needed to replace an older Zetron Series 3200 call‑taking system that could not be upgraded to connect to Tennessee’s NetTN i3 ESInet. To meet state NENA i3 requirements and enable Next‑Gen capabilities (text, photos, video and IP routing), the county issued an RFP for a four‑position IP‑based call‑taking solution.

Zetron’s MAX Call‑Taking system (deployed in partnership with GeoConex) was pre‑staged, installed and connected to the NetTN network, passing all state compatibility tests and going live in March 2014. The Zetron solution delivered IP redundancy and failover, quick dispatcher adoption with minimal training, remote configurability that saved time and money, and made Claiborne County fully i3 Next‑Gen‑ready—providing a measurable operational upgrade and an “excellent reference” site for further MAX deployments.
