Isle of Man Government unifies 16 agencies with Zetron on a single TETRA network

The Isle of Man Government faced a challenge with its fragmented emergency communications, where police, fire, and ambulance services operated on separate, outdated analog systems. This lack of interoperability and integrated control made coordinated responses difficult. To address this, the government partnered with Zetron to implement a unified solution using their Cortex Integrated Communications Control System (ICCS).

Zetron delivered the Cortex ICCS platform, which integrated radio dispatch, telephony, and video monitoring onto a single TETRA network. This solution created the world's first fully integrated, multi-agency control room, linking 16 government and emergency service groups. The results included seamless communication, improved interoperability, faster response times due to GPS-enabled vehicle tracking, and a truly joined-up emergency services operation for the island.
