Improving Safety & Security in Bengaluru, India

Mistral Solutions was selected to equip the Bengaluru City Police with a new mobile command-and-control vehicle to address safety and security challenges in fast-growing Bengaluru. The city’s prior event equipment was slow and cumbersome to deploy—requiring days to set up cameras and cables and relying on uncoordinated walkie-talkies—so Mistral Solutions partnered with Zetron to deliver a modern communications solution using Zetron’s DCS-5020 digital console system.

Mistral Solutions integrated two Zetron DCS-5020 switches, radio and telephone modules, an operator console and a full surveillance suite (PTZ and wireless cameras, body cams) into a ruggedized vehicle and provided hands-on operator training. Zetron’s DCS-5020 delivered centralized, PC-based touch-screen control that could be deployed in hours, improved response speed and multi-agency conferencing/patching, and was successfully used for post-incident surveillance and major events (e.g., a Church Street blast response, New Year’s Eve, Republic Day), prompting plans to expand DCS-5020 use to police control rooms.
