Case Study: Greene County Emergency Services boosts emergency communications connectivity with Zetron

A Zetron Case Study

Greene County Emergency Services upgrades 67 SIP logging outputs with Zetron

Greene County Emergency Services, a 911 center serving the Catskill Mountains, needed to replace its aging Motorola Centracom console system to improve communications for its dispatchers and first responders. A key challenge was upgrading both its main operations center and its backup location without the expense of purchasing a separate core system for the backup site. The agency selected Zetron for its flexible and scalable solution.

Zetron implemented a solution using its ACOM Core infrastructure and multiple Media Controller Servers to support seven console positions and connect 60 conventional radio channels. This allowed the backup center to fully mirror the main operations center without a separate core. The vendor successfully provided a robust system that streamlined emergency communications and included essential recording functionality for all radio traffic.
