A Zetron Case Study
The Monmouth County Sheriff's Office faced an aging, undersized CentComm facility and antiquated equipment that lacked redundancy and modern interoperability while answering roughly 550,000 calls annually for 45 of the county’s 53 municipalities. To meet growing demand, support legacy VHF users, and adopt P25 Phase II capabilities, the agency selected Zetron’s AcomEVO dispatch system (integrated via the P25 Console Subsystem Interface).
Zetron delivered a 60-position AcomEVO console deployment integrated through the CSSI to Motorola’s ASTRO 25 Phase II network—the first industry use of CSSI in a P25 Phase II solution—installed in a new 45,000 sq. ft. Public Safety Center that went live in April 2014. Zetron’s solution enabled smoother training with customizable screens, a seamless cutover, built-in redundancy and scalability (supporting an estimated 30% growth over 25 years), and has been hailed as the most up-to-date PSAP in New Jersey.
