3 MAX Dispatch Systems Connect to Share Resources and Backup

Guilford Fire Department in Guilford, CT needed to replace aging dispatch equipment to ensure reliable communications, interoperability and redundancy across its fire, police and emergency operations center in a hurricane‑prone area. To meet those needs the town selected Zetron and its IP‑based MAX Dispatch system to modernize dispatch capabilities and enable easier resource sharing among agencies.

Zetron implemented three MAX Dispatch systems — two two‑position consoles for fire and police and a one‑position console for the EOC — and linked them via the Zetron MAX Dispatch Portal over IP. The solution, staged and trained offsite for a seamless cutover, delivered shared intercom, auxiliary I/O monitoring, plug‑and‑play EOC mobility, and the ability for any site to take over operations for another; connecting three systems provides built‑in redundancy and “click‑of‑a‑mouse” failover capability, significantly improving Guilford’s interoperability and operational resilience.
