The University of Lincoln in the UK wanted a more cost-effective way to support students and staff across its large campus. Its existing help desk software did not make it easy for IT to communicate with users, send updates, or follow up on service requests, so the university began looking for a better system and started a free trial of Zendesk Support.
The university chose Zendesk Support after its IT department and top 20 internal clients reviewed the service, and it went live with a collaborative rollout. Today, 44 IT staff and another 20 team members use Zendesk Support to manage requests, while automatic notifications, triggers, macros, and the Android app help them respond faster and keep clients informed.
