Vera Bradley, a Fort Wayne–based designer of women’s handbags, luggage and accessories with about 150 U.S. stores, faced growing pains from rapid expansion: fragmented corporate-to-store communications, email overload, manual scheduling using multiple spreadsheets, and limited inventory visibility that pulled managers off the sales floor and hindered execution.
