Vera Bradley, the women’s fashion and accessories retailer with about 150 U.S. stores, was struggling with outdated phone- and email-based communication, manual scheduling, and limited inventory visibility as it grew. The company needed a better way to manage store tasks, workforce planning, and distribution center operations, and turned to Zebra Workcloud solutions along with Zebra mobile computers, scanners, and printers to help solve these challenges.
Zebra implemented Workcloud Task Management, Workcloud Scheduling, and Workcloud Inventory Visibility to centralize communications, automate labor planning, and improve inventory tracking. The results included a 95% reduction in email volume, elimination of about 10 inboxes per store, on-time task completion rising from 40% to 95%, a 15-hour weekly time savings per store, and 6% annual payroll savings, while also improving inventory accuracy and helping associates spend more time serving customers.
