Indiegogo, the crowdfunding company, faced time-consuming manual work managing leads, contacts, and campaign data across tools like Typeform, Salesforce, Google Sheets, and Intercom. By using Zapier, Indiegogo wanted to reduce repetitive data entry, break down team silos, and keep customer information organized and accessible.
Zapier helped Indiegogo automate key workflows: creating Intercom users from Typeform and Salesforce leads, updating Salesforce opportunities and Google Sheets rows from form responses, and tagging newsletter subscribers automatically. The result was a major reduction in manual steps—Garrett Grohman said Zapier turned five- to six-step workflows into one to two steps—and freed up staff time, even reducing one full-time role’s workload to the point that the employee could change roles.
