How a digital studio's side project turned into a remote work phenomenon

Planetary, a digital product agency with a fully distributed team, wanted an easy way to run its Pizzatime virtual pizza party service without writing code. The challenge was to accept pizza orders, store them, and notify the team across multiple apps as efficiently as possible.

Using Zapier, Planetary connected Typeform, Airtable, and Slack into an automated workflow. When an order came in, Zapier sent the data to Airtable and alerted the team in Slack, helping Planetary handle a surge in demand once remote work spread; after relaunching in March 2020, Pizzatime grew to nearly 20 parties a week.
