A YouGov Case Study
The Norwegian Consumer Council wanted to understand the impact of pandemic-accelerated digitization on consumers, specifically the daily difficulties and the extent of digital exclusion. To gain these insights, they partnered with YouGov, using its Surveys: Serviced product to conduct comprehensive research.
YouGov implemented a mixed-method approach, conducting a nationally representative survey followed by qualitative interviews. This solution provided the Council with in-depth data on digital challenges and the groups most affected. The resulting report, "Outsiderness in the consumer markets," sparked a significant public and political debate on digital exclusion, garnering major media attention and leading to follow-up meetings with authorities to discuss protective measures for vulnerable consumers.
