Bukalapak, one of Indonesia’s largest online marketplaces, partnered with YouAppi to support its global growth and app expansion. The company’s main challenge was to drive user acquisition and become the leading app in the Shopping category, while also increasing transactions from newly acquired users and keeping customer acquisition costs below target. Because Android dominates Indonesia’s market share, the campaign focused exclusively on Android users.

YouAppi used its audience data and fast optimization capabilities to target the right users and quickly improve performance for Bukalapak. The campaign hit its purchase-rate goal within the first week, reached a 59% purchase rate from new users in the first month, and later achieved a 205% purchase rate and 14% unique purchase rate by May 2018. YouAppi also helped lower customer acquisition costs while continuing to drive high-quality new users at scale.
