How Chubbies Turned Customers into Friends with Yotpo

Chubbies is a direct‑to‑consumer men’s apparel brand built around vintage patterns and a “Friday at 5:00 PM” vibe. As a lean 55‑person team on Shopify Plus, the company’s challenge was to scale personal customer relationships and continuously capture authentic product feedback so it could drive sales and build lifelong fans.

By integrating Yotpo (reviews, Mail After Purchase, Smart Filters, Loyalty & Rewards, and Analytics) into their Shopify Plus stack, Chubbies showcased customer reviews across product pages, search, ads and social, and analyzed preference data to inform product decisions. The results: more than 11,300 reviews and 700+ customer photos collected, a 11.4% conversion rate for shoppers who interact with Yotpo widgets, over 56% of sales from shoppers who engaged with widgets, and the ability for a small team to compete at much larger scale.
