GoPro Expands its Niche with Yotpo

GoPro, founded in 2002 by Nick Woodman, is a leading action-camera brand whose eCommerce arm drives about 6–7% of online sales. As the company expanded beyond action sports into family vacations, city adventures and kids’ activities, it faced the challenge of shifting consumer perception and telling authentic product stories that showcase those diverse use cases.

During a platform migration GoPro adopted Yotpo to collect reviews directly from review-request emails and engage mobile shoppers, while using easy moderation to publish only informative testimonials. In the first year GoPro collected over 8,000 reviews (average 4+ stars), creating community-style content that highlights varied uses and helps inspire and convert shoppers.
