Best Choice Products (BCP), launched in 2002 as Sky Billiards, is an eCommerce retailer offering over 1,200 products and known for customer service and value. As the business scaled, BCP’s challenge was to build loyal customers who would advocate for the brand and drive higher-value traffic—its site conversion rate was about 2.6%, typical for the industry but short of the lift generated by referral-driven traffic.
BCP launched the BCP Rewards Program to reward nine customer actions (purchases, follows, referrals, etc.), let points be redeemed at checkout, and add VIP tiers that earn rewards faster. The program’s central rewards page made earning points and referring friends easy; each referral produced an average of 7.69 clicks and referred visitors converted about 7.06X higher than typical traffic, boosting LTV by ~40% and multiplying conversion performance substantially.
