Case Study: Bristol Myers Squibb achieves more qualified, diverse early talent with Yello

A Yello Case Study

Preview of the Bristol Myers Squibb Case Study

How Bristol Myers Squibb is sourcing more qualified and diverse early talent with Yello

Bristol Myers Squibb, a global biopharma with about 30,000 employees, struggled to source highly specialized and early-career talent—some roles had only 3–4 qualified candidates worldwide, co-op positions and a new law department early-career program were hard to fill, school selection practices limited diversity, and competition from large firms plus candidate reneging made hiring difficult. To broaden their reach and reduce recruiter labor, Bristol Myers Squibb engaged Yello and its early-talent tools (Yello Sourcing, Automated Concierge Sourcing, and Resume Drops).

Yello deployed Automated Concierge Sourcing and Resume Drops to proactively build candidate pipelines and surface targeted applicants; Yello generated 327 diverse candidate applications via Concierge Sourcing, 68% of Yello-sourced candidates identify as belonging to an underrepresented group, and candidates came from 945 different schools. Using a resume drop, Bristol Myers Squibb collected over 7,000 resumes before a role was listed, reviewed 400+ applications and extended 65 offers on an initial 50-role search, filled early law cohort hires (including at least one sourced through Yello) and significantly increased diverse, qualified applicant volume while saving recruiter time.
