William J. Clinton Presidential Center protects $165 million archives with Xtralis VESDA

The William J. Clinton Presidential Center required a highly sensitive and inconspicuous fire detection system to protect its invaluable archives from both fire and water damage from sprinklers. Xtralis provided its VESDA VLS aspirating smoke detection solution to meet this challenge by detecting fires at the earliest possible stage.

Xtralis implemented a VESDA VLS system with 68 sampling points to continuously monitor the air in the records rooms. The solution was designed to virtually eliminate nuisance alarms and provide the earliest possible warning, enabling security to control a potential fire before damage could occur. The library's staff also benefited from the system's ease of maintenance, which saved them time and money.
